TOLLYGUNGE WOMEN IN NEEDInternational Women’s Day
The three projects of Tollygunge Women in Need, viz. Tollygunge Project, Diamond Harbour Project, Dhobiatala Project celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2024, each with the student beneficiaries, mothers, teachers and staff of their Unit. Altogether, there were nearly two hundred participants. In each case, the participants assembled in front of their Project Office at the stipulated time. Each Project-in –Charge explained to their participants the significance of International Women’s Day and the necessity of empowering all women in our Society. Later the three rallies proceeded in due time, each along their pre-decided local routes, spanning a distance of about two kilometres, in a well controlled and disciplined manner. The teachers and staff of each Project helped sincerely in this exercise. Later the participants had a short snack, sponsored by some well-wishers. All in the three processions enjoyed the experience.
